SBL Personnel		Staff Bios
	Hem Pokharel Project Manager	Hem Pokharel, Project Manager, manages the implementation of SBL's water treatment program in cooperation with collaborators and users. He is responsible for communicating with and educating: Manufacturers of the water treatment systems (potters); Collaborators (schools, micro-lending groups, banks, community leaders) who facilitate the placement of the SBL system in homes and schools; and Users of the filter systems (target population). In addition, he has designed the user evaluation program in the form of a questionnaire and logbook. He has conducted field-testing of the filtration units in Nepal and India. Instrumental in identifying the current test site in Nepal. A Nepalese citizen, Hem Pokharel was educated in English-medium schools. In addition to Nepali and English, he also speaks Hindi. Hem has earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University, Nepal, a B.S. in Geography, and a Certificate in Environmental Studies, University of Massachusetts, Boston. Hem's understanding of the culture in combination with his education and language background provides SBL with a valuable set of tools for working with target populations in both Nepal and India. hem@solutionsbenefitinglife.com

	Sally Coleman Finance & Administration	Sally Coleman is responsible for SBL's administrative, accounting, and customer communications functions. She brings more than 20 years of international marketing experience including 15 years at Millipore Corporation. She has directed product development programs and has extensive experience in commercializing products, the role she recently holds at UVTech Systems. She also was a small business owner for four years. She holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from Boston College.
	Arlene McLaren Research & Administration	Arlene Mack McLaren a part-time research and administrative volunteer at Solutions Benefiting Life. Throughout the years, she has been a board member or advisory committee member of educational, housing, and social advocacy non-profit organizations. Arlene has been instrumental in writing grants and advising on operations.
